Sandy Raven has a husband who spoils her rotten, and kids that are just a hair's breadth away from perfect. She's addicted to House Hunters International and has never missed an episode. She is also addicted to Starbucks' Chai Latte, and never passes up an opportunity to have one. Sandy grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast with sand between her toes and perpetually frizzy hair. Which is why she now lives in the middle-of-nowhere Virginia, in a place with minimal to moderate humidity (for perfect, non-frizzy curls,) rolling hills and farmed forests. The only downside to that is the temperamental satellite internet and the closest Starbucks being a thirty minute drive away. Home is a renovated old farm house she shares with her hero husband, in the foothills of Blue Ridge Mountains, where she's owned by more cats, dogs and horses than she cares to admit to having. I enjoyed the characters & storyline

The author's descriptions of riding, handling and breeding horses for specific use & confirmation ring true for someone who knows horses. Although the behavior of the male hero in this story may be deplorable, it also rings true for this period. The only thing I found disconcerting was misused words that made some sentences incomprehensible. There is no such word as drolled. I believe the author meant drawled. There is a difference between taught & taut. I found several other errors, which even if not recognized by the author, should have been corrected by a competent editor!

Different but as good as book 1

The Caversham family saga continues and Ren's sister Elise, who came across as a little sneaky and antisocial, is all grown up and gets to blossom in her own story. The in between years are covered with a string of exploits and mishaps and you can begin to like Elise. The plot moves quickly with just enough turmoil and suspense to keep you interested without stressing you out over the lady's distress. I loved reading the descriptions of the gowns being worn and I loved the Grandmother. I recommend this book as a stand alone or part of the series. I'm looking forward to Sarah's story.

Great story about Elise and Michael. Wonderful continuation of the story about Lia and Ren, and their family. Good for Elise for knowing her heart and mind since she was 10. For Michael realizing how Elise has changed, and the love that he was developing for her. Bless Ren for giving his best friend his permission to marry Elise. Cannot wait for the rest of the Caversham Chronicles. Read your webpage. Thank you for not writing about deaths of the main characters. By the eighth book, it would be hard to let them go! :-)
