Good info, incompatible tone

I tried this edition and two more besides. I have to say that the magazine has good info. If that is everything you're looking for, give it a try.
The down side for me was in the tone of the magazine. The name says it all. It is a magazine for survivalists, not just people looking for off-grid / primitive living skills. It's about being hardcore and being the last person standing in an emergency. Much of the editorial content is far more inflammatory that my mindset allows, and I kept getting distracted from the information due to the (in my opinion) excessive hype of the context in which the information was presented.
The editorial tone and I just did not match up, but it may be just the right thing for others.

Sometimes I buy it

Not always an overly critical thinking based magazine...Like many prepper oriented things it has its world view and you either go along with it or you do not. I thought it could use more nuts and bolts stuff, but I suppose the presentation is adequate. I gotbthis issue because I found the woman pictured on the cover oddly alluring.

I read ALOT of prepping and survival articles, blogs, books and more! I'm the guy who has little actual training and experience. The information that I have gleaned from these pages has inspired me to DO more! A very engaging and empowering magazine!
