Wonderful Tale and Positive Message!

Jacob The Dragon Catcher reminds me of Robin Hood of Sherwood forest. Loved the scrolled messages with rhyme that perfectly coordinated with the creative and colorful illustrations. Great positive message of the importance of saying your sorry and to not judge others too quickly.

Lots to like!

This book delivers a well-written, engaging story and beautiful watercolor illustrations. It reminds me of a classic fairy tale or fable. Jacob, the reluctant hero, is reminiscent of Robin Hood, and the scenes have a time-honored look. The book teaches kids to follow their own instincts and do the right thing, regardless of what others think.

A Well Done Children's Book

This is an amusing book about a youth who makes a living and career out of catching dragons and selling them to zoos. These dragons are not the fearsome kind one will see in the current "Hobbit" movies, but are more like Toothless from "How to Care For Your Dragon."
Despite his success, Jacob does feel fulfilled with his career in catching and selling dragons, especially as all of the caught dragons seem so sad upon being caught. It takes a special moment for Jacob to make the decision to make a change in his life and how he looks upon dragons.
The artwork was very well done and proved a very good accompaniment to the story as well. I would definitely recommend for young readers or for parents who read to their small children.
