This Book Is Legit

Ok, I'm a male, so I can only give a male's perspective here.
Being single, I was interested to see if the author could successfully put into words the reasons why I avoid getting 'tied-down'. I'm happy to report that he knows what he is talking about, and I found myself nodding along and agreeing with most of it; some points weren't relevant, of course, since there are so many.
Anyway, the information is solid, and the book well-written (in my opinion). If anything could have been improved, I think maybe better navigation to each of the individual reasons would have been helpful. Not necessarily in the book's table of contents, but at least when you click the contents button on the LHS of the screen (Kindle-for-PC).
Either way, great info and 5 stars... I just purchased two more of the author's books after reading this one!

I find it true that men value feeling respected > loved, feeling understood

I appreciate the honest insights into how men think. I find it true that men value feeling respected > loved, feeling understood, among other things Bryant mentions as keys to a man's heart. HOWEVER his insistence that women need to let their men lead is obnoxious, outdated and short sighted. I don't doubt that many men would PREFER to call the major shots in a relationships and "make the right decisions for both of you." It is silly to defer to your man as the primary decision maker to keep him happy. That is pleasing your partner at the expense of your self and will lead to resentment against your man and/or more self destructive behavior. I have news for Bryant: Plenty of women would ALSO PREFER to have greater influence, power, and ultimate decision making prowress in their relationships. It's just one of those things that you don't give into just because the other person wants it. The idea of playing role of "first mate" is maddening to me because it's so clearly one sided, far too great a power differential. I love men and am happy to be a first mate for my man...as long as he's willing to act as my first mate too! There should not be just one captain; decision making needs to be a two person job.
I am giving four stars because even though I feel strongly that inter-gender romantic relations shouldn't be led by the male by default, the truth is, they kind of are. Whenever I encourage my boyfriend to take the reins he loves it and I can tell it makes him feel closer to me. That and using other advice I've read in other of this authors books has him talking about marriage after 8 months ;-)

There's actually some great reasons to think about

I was pretty surprised with this ebook. There are a ton of obvious reasons that I completely overlooked. I do have to note that there are some that are some very close repeats. But all in all it was worth the price. A good cheap read.
